On Wednesday January 22nd, CSHP welcomed WesternU’s Dr. Doreen Pon to speak for the seminar elective. Dr. Pon spoke about her experiences in oncology pharmacy and what it meant for her being in this field. She gave an overview of the responsibilities and personal experiences from practicing as an oncology pharmacist. She was able to enlighten students on how her role relates and differs from the roles of other pharmacists in a hospital setting. Students were able to ask questions and get an idea on how to enter this very specialized, yet prominent field of pharmacy.
