On Saturday, December 7th, ASHP/CSHP and APhA-ASP/CPhA held a collaborative health fair serving the community of Pomona in partnership with Empire Healthcare, Independent Physicians Association. Student pharmacists provided blood glucose, blood pressure, and BMI screenings to over 80 people. Tim Sandoval, the mayor of Pomona, awarded Western University of Health Sciences with a Certification of Recognition for our services to the community! Thank you to all the student volunteers, Dr. Mario Jimenez, and Dr. Mark Nguyen for taking their time to give back to the community. We look forward to providing more health fairs in the new year.
