Holiday Nutrition Week

In preparation for the holidays, CSHP’s Nutrition Committee tabled to our students to remind them to stay healthy during breaks. Holidays are a great opportunity to bond with friends and families over delicious meals, but on the same note it is important not to overindulge during these times. To help students out, our committee prepared three cookbooks filled with healthier alternatives to typical holiday favorites. Each cookbook consisted of five recipes and focused on either vegetarian dishes, meat meals, or desserts. In addition to presenting nutrition facts to the students, we also held a pledge card activity. Students could sign the pledge card which would serve as a tangible reminder to stay accountable over the holiday. As an added incentive, we will raffle off nutrition-related prizes for those who have signed up for the pledge.
