On April 27th, 2019, CSHP participated in Drug Take Back Day at Kaiser Permanente Ontario campus. This was part of a national effort to reduce medication abuse and provide patients with a safe alternative for disposing their medications. Student volunteers helped collect medications and packaged them to be disposed by the DEA. Students from APhA’s Operation Heart and Diabetes, as well as CSHP’s Smoking Cessation committees also provided health education presentations to the community. Thank you to all the student volunteers and Kaiser Ontario for hosting this event!
