On Tuesday, April 16th, 2019, CSHP ‘s Health Fairs and Asthma Awareness Subcommittee members presented to 4th and 5th graders at Barfield Elementary School in Pomona. The committee members presented about asthma, triggers, and acute attacks. The students were very eager to learn and participated during the interactive presentation, as well as shared their experiences with asthma. After the presentation, the committee members demonstrated inhaler uses to the students. Our goal is to educate students to properly use inhalers and to be prepared for any asthma emergencies they may witness at school.
