On Thursday, February 21st, WesternU CSHP marked ASHP PAI Awareness week with a presentation and legislation materials. PAI – or Practice Advancement Initiative – is sponsored by ASHP with the goal to advance patient care by supporting practice models that utilize pharmacists in direct patient care roles. This year, CSHP President Danielle Do focused on helping students understand how much opportunity there is for pharmacists to be involved in advancing transitions of care and medication therapy management. Our Director of Legislative Affairs, Pacience Edwards, made a reference flyer for students to help them contact their representatives when pharmacy bills are introduced. Students were left more aware and empowered to help advance their profession and futures.
