On Wednesday, February 14th, CSHP hosted the Spring Internship Workshop where we invited 4 intern pharmacists from second year pharmacy students at WesternU to speak about their experiences at work. This year, we invited Ken Cruz from City of Hope, Connie Chao from Whittier Hospital Medical Center, Jerald Varona from Queen of the Valley Hospital, and Nhu Nguyen from White Memorial Hospital. After a brief introduction, each intern pharmacist spoke about their responsibilities at their respective hospital. The intern pharmacist were then assigned to a table of students to begin the round table discussion. Each intern pharmacist had 8 minutes per table to answer the student’s questions. Some sample questions were provided by CSHP as starters. Students were able to learn from their peers and get their questions answered!
